MSB008239 Public Utility Easement / Homebuilt Circle

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Land & Resource Management Division has received an application from Matanuska Electric Association (MEA) for a 15’ public utility easement adjacent to Homebuilt Circle on Borough-owned property known as Lot 1, Block 2 Frontier Acres Subdivision (tax account 56369B02L001). This property was dedicated as a public access area on the subdivision plat 73-82. In 1979 the powerline was installed adjacent to the road; however, the recorded easement was later deemed invalid because it had been signed by the developer, who was not the legal owner of the property at that time. The proposed easement will provide electrical service to properties located on the north side of Niklason Lake.
