Animal Care and Regulation Board

The Animal Care and Regulation Board is comprised of five members and one alternate.  When asked, the Board acts in advisory capacity to the Assembly regarding matters that affect animal care and regulatory services in the Borough regarding the following:

• Borough related elements of a comprehensive, long range plan

• proposed legislation and regulations

• public recommendations

• program evaluation and implementation

• review of the Animal Care and Regulation operations manual

• review of the yearly board budget

The Animal Care and Regulation Board also hears appeals of the classification of animals classified as level 1, 2, 3, or 4 per Title 24.

Per MSB 24.30.018(C) and (D), regular board meetings are scheduled to immediately follow an appeal or scheduled as the Board otherwise sees fit.
