Design Criteria Manual

The purpose of this manual is to provide design standards for Matanuska Susitna Borough (MSB) roadways, traveled ways, and MSB rights-of-way (ROW) that are consistent, predictable, safe, and reliable. Meeting this purpose will serve to integrate past, present, and future vehicular travelled ways, pedestrian and bicycle paths, drainage systems, traffic operations, maintenance, and enforcement. The intent of this manual is to guide designers in the development of the MSB infrastructure, specifically related to travelled ways, public facilities, and public sites and to improve operations and maintainability.

The Subdivision Construction Manual sets out to establish standards for the design and construction of transportation networks, ensuring a coherent and high-quality infrastructure.  It offers valuable information and guidelines for the design, construction, and upgrade of roads, drainage facilities, and utilities situated within rights-of-way. Its objectives extend to developing and maintaining a transportation system that is not only safer but also more efficient for its users. Standard Drawings & Project Documents

Standard Drawings and Project Documents are standard details and cover sheets and other misc. documents to be used on Borough infrastructure projects.

Construction Management Documents

Construction Management Documents are used by contractors and construction engineers/inspectors to document construction activities including submittals and pay requests.
