Alpine Historical Park

Through self-guided tours community members and visitors can look back in time to understand the heritage and cultures of the early settlers of the Sutton and Chickaloon area. This includes the Ahtna-Dene (Athabascan) culture, coal mining, and construction of the Glenn Highway. 

The emphasis of the property is not only to maintain the current structures, exhibits, and grounds but to continue to develop an educational and historical setting for the Sutton and Chickaloon communities. The park is a venue for community events.
