Platting Fees

Preliminary Plat fees effective July 1, 2025

Matanuska-Susitna Borough Title 43.05.3035(A):

The assembly shall establish a schedule of fees for applications and appeals under this title by resolution. The schedule of fees shall be posted in the borough offices and may be altered or amended only by the assembly.

Regular Plat More than 12 Lots/Tracts	$1600.00 + $110.00/lot/tract over 12
Public Hearing, Public Use Easements	$550.00
Waiver Subdivision	$350.00
Abbreviated Plat	$550.00
Elimination of Common Lot Lines on a recorded Plat	$350.00
Elimination/Modification of Utility, Drainage, Sanitation and Screening Easement	$550.00 (no fee if submitted with a Regular Plat)
Vacation of Dedicated Right-of-Way (ROW)	$300.00 & regular plat fee
Vacation of Public Use Easement (PUE) — Stand Alone	$550.00 (No additional fee for more than one vacation)
Vacation of Public Use Easement (PUE) — with Regular Plat	$300.00 + Regular Plat Fee (No additional fee for more than one vacation)
Final Plat (only for Regular Plats)	50% of Preliminary Fee
Additional Plat Review After Second Final	$110.00
Right-of-Way acquisition plats	$550.00
Variance — Stand Alone	$550 (No additional fee for more than one variance)
Variance — With Regular Plat	$300.00 + Regular Plat Fee (No additional fee for more than one variance)
Road Inspection Fee	1% of construction cost (Minimum $550.00)
Street Name Change	$300.00
Appeals of Platting Officer Decision	$250.00
Continuance	$250.00 (None if mutually agreed)

Master Plan Final: Half of Preliminary Fee, divided by the total number of lots in Master Plan = Per Lot Amount. Per Lot Amount multiplied by the number of lots in Phase being submitted = Master Plan Phase Final Fee.
