2025 Personal Use Christmas Tree Cutting Area (MSB008249)

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough’s Personal Use Christmas Tree Cutting Area will be open November 22 through December 25, 2025.

Tree cutting is permitted only on Borough land within the designated area west of Butte Elementary School. Area boundaries are marked with blue, red and white flagging.

A permit is required prior to cutting a tree. Permits and maps are available online at MatSu Permitting, & SRT or from brochure boxes located at the Mat-Su Borough DSJ Building, 350 E Dahlia Ave, Palmer. Permits are available online only.
