Fish Creek Conservation Area Winter Trails Closed for the Season

Snow depth and trail condition were observed April 22, 2026. It was determined that the discontinuous snow base and daytime temperatures above freezing that the FCCA trails located south of Gonder Road near Big Lake are closed to dogsledding and grooming activities at this time.

In addition, the gate near the Kiosk on Gonder Road will be closed for the summer. 

 Any changes affecting future trail conditions will be updated through Matanuska Susitna Borough Public Notice webpage, e-mails, and will be posted at the Gonder Road Kiosk.
