MSB007747 Management Agreement-Gateway Visitor Center

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Land & Resource Management Division received a request from the Mat-Su Convention & Visitor Bureau (MSCVB) to manage the new Gateway Visitor Center located at 4643 S. Glenn Hwy. in Palmer.  Borough code states that all real property owned or leased by the Borough is to be managed under an interagency agreement.  This includes property on which a public facility is situated, such as the subject visitor center.  The MSCVB has been managing a visitor center for the Borough for many years and has demonstrated its proficiency and professionalism. The new building is centrally located near the “Y” of the Glenn and Parks highways and will offer visitor information and educational displays.
