Announcing the Public Review Period for the Mat-Su Borough Historic Preservation Plan Update

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough invites the public to review and provide comments on the draft Historic Preservation Plan Update. This plan will guide the identification, preservation, protection, and celebration of the Borough’s historic and cultural resources. Community input has been central to this plan development over the past several years to ensure that it reflects local knowledge, resources, and priorities.

The public comment period is open from June 15 through August 1, 2026. Interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to review the draft plan and submit written comments during this time.
