Aerial Imagery
Aerial imagery is a powerful tool for making well-informed decisions, seeing changes over time, and reducing field work efforts. It supports government services, commercial ventures, and private endeavors.
The Borough GIS Division works with local vendors to acquire imagery and make it available to project partners, private businesses, and the public.

Accessing the Data
Use Parcel Viewer
Easy to use online map with property information. Imagery from 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016, and 2011 can be turned on/off on the layer pane.
Imagery Through Time
Easy to use online map for comparing the 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016, and 2011 imagery, using a slider tool.
State Web Services
The Alaska Geospatial Council also provides imagery web services, including a statewide best data layer in WMS format. This layer includes the best available data throughout the region.
MSB Web Services
Web services are a way to access GIS data, such as imagery, over the web. These services can be used by various software.
The MSB currently publishes web services for 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016, and 2011 imagery.

For security reasons, the MSB rest end point can no longer be accessed through a web browser.

Wait for notification
If in-person pickup is selected you will receive an email notification letting you know when we have completed your order.
If product shipping is selected your hard drive will be sent to the address you provided on the order form.
To pick up your order in person
Go to the Main Borough Building located at 350 E. Dahlia Ave. in Palmer.
Enter through the main entrance and check in at the front desk to receive your purchase.

Note: you may pay by eCheck. There is a $1 transaction fee.
