Landfill Coupons

The MSB Landfill Online Coupon program offers Borough residents a convenient way to reduce disposal costs at the central landfill and select transfer sites. Registration runs from April 1 through May 31.

This continuation of a long-running program provides a one-time $25 coupon per household, valid for 12 months, to be used toward landfill fees. In 2023, the coupon registration process transitioned fully to a user-friendly online app, making it easier than ever to request, track, and redeem your annual coupon without the need for mailed forms or paper copies.

Eligibility

1. Who is eligible?

   Registration is open to Home Owners for their primary residence.

2. What about Renters?

   This program is only available to primary homeowners, registration name much match owner name listed in MSB property records.

3. No Commercial Properties

   Commercial Properties are not allowed.

How to Register

1. Go to the Landfill Coupon App

   Land Fill Coupons

2. Click the Register Button

3. Fill Out Form

   Required Fields:

   • First & Last Name

   • Email Address

   • Physical Address

4. Hit the Submit Button

   The system will check your name against property records and issue a landfill coupon.

FAQ

1. How can I redeem my coupon?

   After your coupon registration is approved, we’ll send you an email with detailed instructions and a link to access your coupon. You can either print this coupon or display it on your mobile device. Simply show the coupon to the attendant at the landfill or transfer station to use it.

2. When is the deadline for coupon registration?

   Coupon registrations must be submitted on or before May 31, 2027

3. When is the expiration date for the coupons?

   Coupons must be used on or before Mar 31, 2027

4. Can the coupons be used at remote transfer sites?

   No, coupons are exclusively valid at the Central Landfill and the Big Lake, Butte, Sutton, Willow, and Talkeetna Transfer Stations, which are directly managed by our team.

5. Are residents of Anchorage or the North Star Borough eligible for a coupon?

   No, these coupons are specifically for Mat-Su Borough residents only.

6. Is the coupon single-use?

   Yes, each coupon offers up to $25 off one load and cannot be reused.

7. Can multiple people in a household apply for a coupon?

   No, a household is eligible for just one coupon, which is limited to their primary residence only. Coupons cannot be claimed by multiple owners of the same property, or for multiple properties, commercial properties, or vacant land.

8. Can renters receive coupons?

   No, coupons are available only to property owners within the MSB.
