    Ordinances

    The Borough's noise ordinances recognize that excessive noise, amplified sound, and vibration can negatively affect public health, safety, welfare, and the peaceful enjoyment of property. The code regulates amplified sound devices such as radios, stereos, loudspeakers, musical instruments, and similar equipment.

    • A detailed description of the noise issue, including dates, times, duration, and any supporting documentation such as photographs, videos, or other evidence.

    How to file a noise complaint

    When reporting a noise issue, provide as much detail as possible, including:

    1. Detailed information helps Code Compliance staff investigate complaints more effectively and determine whether the activity may violate Borough code.

      • Dates and times the noise occurs.

      • Whether the noise is continuous or intermittent.

      • The source of the noise, if known.

      • How the noise affects neighboring properties.

      • Any recordings, photographs, or written logs documenting the activity.
