Temporary Noise Permit
The Borough recognizes that some special events may temporarily exceed normal noise standards. Applicants may request a Temporary Noise Permit pursuant to Borough code. The permit process allows the Borough to evaluate proposed events and ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect nearby properties and sensitive receptors.
How to Apply
Applications must generally be submitted at least 60 days before the event. The application must include the required fee established by the Borough. Applicants must provide details regarding the event, location, duration, and nearby sensitive uses such as schools, hospitals, churches, nursing homes, courts, libraries, and similar facilities.
Residents planning concerts, festivals, sporting events, or other activities involving amplified sound should contact the Borough Planning and Land Use Department well in advance of the event to determine permit requirements.
