Recreational Services

We deliver a wide range of indoor and outdoor recreation and library services for Mat-Su Borough residents and visitors. Our facilities include the Wasilla and Palmer pools, Brett Memorial Ice Arena, Matanuska River Park & Campground, Jim Creek and Talkeetna campgrounds, plus hundreds of miles of multi-use trails. We operate public libraries in Big Lake, Sutton, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, and Willow (with separate libraries in Palmer and Wasilla). Through our Community Enrichment Program, we offer classes and activities tailored to each area— For Community Enrichment in Talkeetna and Trapper Creek reach out to the Mat-Su School District , and for Willow programs, see the Willow Area Community Organization .
