Burn Permits Suspended
As of Thursday, June 18th, due to very high fire danger, forecasted lightning, and limited resource availability after multiple new starts around the state. A burn permit suspension means no burning of burn barrels, debris piles, or lawn burns. Campfires smaller than 3ft in diameter for the purpose of warming, cooking, or signaling are still allowed.

Solar Energy Systems

Many different technologies are used to capture and convert solar energy into useful energy for various purposes. Solar energy systems shall comply with the requirement of IBC Section 3111.

We use solar thermal energy systems to heat:

Water for homes, buildings, or swimming pools
Air inside homes, greenhouses, and other buildings
Fluids in solar thermal power plants

Solar photovoltaic systems

Solar photovoltaic (PV) devices, or solar cells, convert sunlight directly into electricity. Small PV cells can power calculators, watches, and other small electronic devices. Larger solar cells are grouped to form PV panels, and PV panels are connected in arrays that can produce electricity for an entire house.
