Stormwater and Drainage Program

The stormwater and drainage program evaluates watersheds and drainage systems, collects stormwater data and drainage system information, responds to drainage complaints and develops solutions to mitigate existing drainage problems throughout the Mat-Su Borough. Typical stormwater and drainage related efforts include drainage studies, site evaluations, drainage system planning and engineering design and review of proposed drainage system analyses and construction plans. This program also coordinates with the Floodplain Management Program in the Planning Department to review permit applications and evaluate proposed floodplain impacts.
